A key issued to another system carries an allowance, and each request is checked against it before anything runs. Every request is recorded as well: which tool it used, when, and whether it worked. Nothing reaches your business quietly.

The permission you give works for NearSync and nowhere else.

When you approve the connector, the pass it receives names NearSync as the only place it can be used. It runs out on its own, and it is checked afresh on every question. A pass meant for some other service cannot be turned on your business, and yours cannot be turned on anyone else.

The open standard

Built on an open standard.

NearSync uses the Model Context Protocol with standard OAuth sign-in, so there is no API key to paste. Claude works today, and OpenAI and Gemini will use the same connection when they arrive.

Anyone can connect Claude to their own account, and it follows their role. Creating a key for another system to use is a separate decision, and it belongs to Admin.
