NearSync has a zero-tolerance position on slavery, servitude, forced or bonded labour, child labour, and human trafficking. This policy covers our own employment practices and the suppliers we buy from.
We publish it voluntarily. NearSync is below the turnover thresholds at which modern-slavery statements become mandatory in most jurisdictions. We publish one anyway, because customers and partners should not have to ask.
Who this covers
The policy applies to Near Sync FZ LLC (Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates), trading as NearSync Technologies, and NearSync Technologies Private Limited (Srinagar, India), and to everyone who works for either entity in any capacity. Full company details are on the Imprint.
Our business and supply chain
NearSync makes business software. We are a remote-first company with no factories, warehouses, physical products, or outsourced labour operations. Our supply chain is short and largely digital: cloud infrastructure and software services (listed as sub-processors in our Privacy Policy), professional services such as accounting and legal counsel, and standard equipment bought at retail.
That profile carries a low inherent risk of modern slavery. Low is not zero, and a short chain is one we can actually check.
How we employ
- Everyone works for us directly, under a written contract agreed before their first day. We do not use third-party labour agencies or outsourced hiring firms.
- Nobody pays to work here. We charge no recruitment fees or deposits, at any stage, through any intermediary.
- We verify age and the right to work for every hire.
- We never hold anyone’s identity documents.
- Pay meets or exceeds the legal minimum in the country of employment, with equal pay for equal work. Our working practices are published on the Careers page: no monitoring of anyone, and hours that stay ordinary.
- Anyone can resign with the notice in their contract. There are no exit fees, penalties, or withheld dues for leaving.
How we buy
Before we adopt a significant supplier, we check whether it publishes its own modern-slavery or human-rights statement; our major infrastructure vendors do. We expect every supplier to meet the standards in this policy in their own operations, and we will end a relationship where we find they do not.
Raising a concern
Anyone, inside or outside the company, can raise a concern about slavery or trafficking connected to our business at legal@nearsync.ai. Reports are reviewed by management directly, and nobody who raises a genuine concern will face retaliation for doing so.
Responsibility and review
The General Manager of Near Sync FZ LLC owns this policy. It is reviewed at least once a year, and whenever our supply chain changes in a way that matters.
