Every saved widget, in one place.

Every saved widget and report, with who made it, which department it belongs to, and who can see it. Widgets that ship with NearSync appear alongside the ones your team built, and both work the same on any board.

The library holds every saved widget and report with its owner, its department and how far it reaches. Adding one to your board is a click rather than a rebuild.

The library

What's in the library.

Filter by department, or browse everything. Each card tells you what the widget shows, whether it came from NearSync or from somebody on your team, and whether the whole organisation can use it.

Reuse

Add a widget instead of rebuilding it.

When two boards use the same widget, their numbers always match.

  • Browse every saved widget and report in one place
  • See what each one shows, in a sentence
  • Add one to any board you can edit
  • Filter by department, or browse all fifteen at once
  • Use the same widget on two boards without copying it

Who built each widget.

Who can see a widget follows the board it is on, so there is one set of permissions to manage, not two.

  • Start with the widgets that ship with NearSync
  • See the ones your own team saved, each with its author
  • See the department each one belongs to
  • Use either kind on a board; they work exactly the same
  • Trace any widget back to whoever built it

Download any saved report as Excel, CSV or PDF.

The report runs again while the file is being made, so the figures in it are the ones you were just looking at. Excel and CSV give you something to work with. PDF keeps the report looking the way it did on screen.

On a schedule

Have a report delivered every day, week or month.

Pick the day and the hour in your own time zone, and how far back the figures should go, from the last seven days to the year so far. Send it to colleagues by name, and to accountants or auditors outside the company by email address. Every schedule shows when it last ran and whether it worked, and you can pause one without losing it.

Onto a board

Create the board a widget needs without leaving the library.

If the right board does not exist yet, make it here: file it under the department that owns it, and give that team the right to view it or to edit it. If it already exists, search the boards you are allowed to edit and drop the widget straight on.

Access

Who can do what.

Adding an existing widget to your own board is everyday work. Saving one into the library puts it in front of the whole organisation, so that needs a higher role.

See

Browse the library and see what each widget shows.

Do

Add a widget to a board you can edit.

Manage

Save your own widgets into the library.

Admin

Decide who can publish to the whole company.

Admin is the highest role and is not limited by these permissions, so give it only to the small group that genuinely needs it.

One widget, start to finish

One widget, four boards.

It was saved into the library with its author and its department, and the next three teams that wanted the same number added it instead of building their own. All four boards show the same figure.

It uses a shared measure, so the number is the same one everybody else sees.

Analytics guides

See Analytics on your own data.

Half an hour on your own numbers, governed once so they mean the same thing everywhere.
