Stock applies to items with a ship delivery model. Services and digital items have no stock, which is why the surface only concerns part of the catalogue.

What It Holds

Quantity on hand per item, so the catalogue can answer whether something is available.

What To Set Up

1. Mark items that ship. Anything without that delivery model will not appear.
2. Record current quantities, counted rather than estimated. A stock figure nobody trusts is worse than none, because it gets checked twice.
3. Keep it current as you sell and receive.

Being Straight About Scope

Stock today is levels. The surrounding surfaces are still being built:

• Stock Movements - the history of what moved, when and why
• Procurement - ordering from suppliers
• Fulfillment - picking and shipping
• Manufacturing - assembling from components

Those appear in the menu because they are planned. They are not working surfaces.

Using It Well Within Its Limits

For a business selling a modest number of physical items alongside services, levels are enough to know what you can promise.

• Count on a schedule, monthly or quarterly, and correct against the count.
• Watch the items that matter, not everything. A handful drive most orders.
• Note discrepancies somewhere durable, since there is no movement log to consult later.

Common Questions

Does selling reduce stock automatically? Treat the level as something you maintain rather than something that maintains itself, and verify against a count before relying on it.

Can we set a reorder point? Reorder logic belongs with procurement, which is still being built.

Multiple locations? Items carry a hub. Full multi-location stock is part of the movements work.

Should we use this or our warehouse system? If you have one that works, keep it until the surrounding surfaces land.
