A dock sits at the bottom of Projects HQ. It watches the current sprint and can be asked about it directly.
What it does unprompted
Briefs. A short plain summary of where the sprint stands: what is in progress, how many points are done, whether anything is blocked.
Recommends. Where a signal suggests an action, it proposes one, and some can be applied without leaving the dock.
Runs the ceremonies. It knows when a standup or retro is due and says so.
Asking it
Type a question and a panel opens above the bar, over the board rather than pushing it aside. It is already scoped to Projects and already aware of the active sprint, so you do not have to say which sprint you mean.
Useful questions are the ones about state rather than fact:
- Why are we behind?
- What is blocked right now?
- What changed since Monday?
It answers from the sprint itself, so it can tell you which issue is blocking and who holds it.
The limit worth knowing
It reads the board, so it is exactly as current as the board is.
A team that updates status once a week, on Friday, will get answers on Wednesday that describe last Friday. The assistant will state them confidently, because from where it sits they are true.
This is not a flaw in the assistant so much as the honest cost of any live view. If you want it to be useful, the discipline is moving a card when the work moves, not when the sprint ends.
Asking it costs credits. Reading the briefing it produces does not.
