Operations

Operations Reports and Analytics How to read the Operations dashboard, and what the numbers actually tell you about how the business runs.

Operations, Insights, Reports and Analytics. The dashboard for the Operations area, reading live data.

What It Covers

Operations reporting is about how work moves rather than what it earns. Where Sales reports on pipeline and Finance on money, this reports on the machinery: automations, procedures, data health.

The Questions Worth Asking

Are our automations doing anything? A workspace with fifty active workflows and few executions has built automations nobody triggers. That is either dead configuration or a trigger that does not match reality - see Automation Health.

Are our procedures being followed? SOPs marked Active with no runs are procedures the team is not using. Either they are not needed or they are being skipped, and both are worth knowing.

Is our data getting better or worse? The queue counts in Data Management are the honest measure. Low and stable is healthy; growing means something upstream is creating records without the fields that matter.

A single reading tells you almost nothing here. Operations metrics are only meaningful as trends.

Automation executions rising steadily is a team adopting them. Rising sharply is usually a trigger that got too broad. Falling is either a workflow that stopped matching or a process that changed underneath it.

Building Your Own View

For anything beyond the standard dashboard, Analytics lets you ask for a metric in plain English and build the report yourself. Custom fields are first-class there, so anything you have added is available to report on.

Tip

The most useful Operations report is usually the simplest: count of records missing a field that matters. It is a direct measure of whether the process is being followed, and it is actionable in a way that a percentage is not.

Common Questions

Numbers look wrong. Check the period selector first, then whether the underlying records are clean. Reporting on unreconciled imported data produces confident wrong numbers.

Can I schedule a report? Report exports can be scheduled to run on a recurring basis.

Where is the whole-business dashboard? Dashboards. This one is scoped to Operations.
