Settings, Configuration, General. Two bands: what your workspace is provisioned as, and how it handles currency and dates. You need the admin role, weight 90.
Identity And Limits
Everything in this band is read-only. It is set when your workspace is provisioned, and shown here so you can quote it to support without hunting.
Instance identity carries the instance ID and name, the build tier, the deployment (managed or self-hosted), the region, the vertical, and the AMC tier.
Infrastructure limits carries max users, storage in GB, AI tokens per month, and whether Sentinel monitoring is included. Any of these showing zero means unlimited, not none.
To change a tier, deployment or limit, contact NearSync. Seats specifically are changed on the Subscription surface, not here.
Base Currency
Base currency is one value for the entire organisation. It is the default for consolidated reporting, for subscription pricing, and the fallback whenever a record has no hub attached.
It is deliberately locked. Changing it re-values every stored figure in the workspace, so the control is read-only with a Change button rather than a dropdown.
How To Change The Base Currency
- Click Change beside the locked currency. A dialog opens with a warning stating that every financial figure and all stored deal values will be re-valued, and that every admin will be emailed.
- Set an organisation security PIN if you do not have one. If no PIN exists yet the dialog asks for one first: enter it twice, minimum four digits, then Set security PIN. The currency change cannot proceed without it.
- Pick the new currency from the dropdown.
- Enter your security PIN.
- Confirm. The button reads "Change to" and the currency code, so you can see exactly what you are committing to.
On success you are told how many deals were re-valued, every admin receives an email, the change is written to the audit log, and the page reloads after a moment because every surface has to re-read.
Caution
This is not reversible by undo. Changing back is another full re-valuation. Decide the base currency once, at setup, and leave it.
Base currency is not the same as hub currency. Base is the organisation-wide default. Each hub has its own operating currency - what invoices from that entity actually go out in - and the hub's currency wins whenever a hub is involved. See Hubs.
Exchange Rates
Rates are expressed relative to 1 USD and used for multi-currency conversion in Finance, Payroll and Dashboards.
They refresh automatically every day from market data. You can override any of them by hand, which is useful when your accountant has fixed a rate for a period.
- Edit the rate in the box beside the currency code.
- Click Save Rates.
The date of the last update is shown beside the button. A manual edit holds until the next automatic refresh overwrites it.
Keep in mind
A manual rate is temporary. If you need a rate to hold for a whole accounting period, note that the daily refresh will replace it and check it again.
Date Format And Timezone
Date format offers three options and applies workspace-wide as the default.
Organisation timezone is the workspace default, grouped by region.
Both are overridden per person in their own account settings, and per hub for anything the hub owns. This value is the fallback when neither applies.
Business Hours And Hub Locations
Both moved. Business hours and working days are now set per hub, because an organisation with a UAE office on Sunday to Thursday and a UK office on Monday to Friday cannot share one setting. Attendance late-detection reads the hub's schedule directly.
The General surface keeps a pointer to Hubs where those used to be, so an old bookmark does not dead-end.
Deal Staleness
Under CRM Rules, Deal Staleness Threshold sets how many days without movement before a deal is treated as stale: 7, 14, 21 or 30. This is the organisation-wide default. Individual pipelines have their own rot settings that are separate from it - see Pipeline Settings in the Sales section.
Notification Routing
Two addresses, both plain email fields:
- Critical Issues Email - where system-critical alerts go.
- Billing Issues Email - where billing problems go.
These are the catch-all destinations. Per-event routing to actual people is configured in Notifications.
Common Questions
What is my instance ID for? Quote it to support. It identifies your workspace unambiguously.
Max users says 0. Do I have no seats? Zero means unlimited. Self-hosted deployments show zero because you own the infrastructure.
I changed the date format and my colleague still sees the old one. They have set their own in their account settings. A personal setting always wins over the workspace default.
