The point of chat living inside the platform is that a conversation can become work without leaving it.
A message into a task
Type /task and describe it in plain language:
/task review the Albadwi contract tomorrow 3pm @Ausaff
That becomes a task called "review the Albadwi contract", due tomorrow at 15:00, assigned to Ausaff. The date and the name come out of the title rather than staying in it. Durations work too: 30m, 2h, 1h30m, 90 minutes.
You can also convert an existing message from its actions, which drops it into the composer as a /task for you to adjust before sending.
This costs nothing. It is pattern matching, not a language model, which is why it is instant and never invents a date.
A thread onto a record
Paste a record's URL into Pin this thread to a record and the conversation is anchored to that deal, ticket or contact. A pointer appears on that record's Discussions tab.
The thread does not move. It stays where it is in chat, and the record gains a link to it. That matters: the conversation keeps its context for the people in it, and gains findability for whoever opens the record in six months and asks why a decision was made.
This is the single habit that most improves a workspace over time. The reasoning behind a decision is almost always in a chat message, and almost never findable from the record it concerned.
Record discussions
From the other direction, a record's Discussions tab lists every thread anchored to it, so the history of a deal includes the arguing as well as the field changes.
