Search

Search runs across the conversations you can see. It will not surface a channel you are not in or a DM that is not yours, which is worth knowing before concluding something is missing.

Search works best when you remember a distinctive word rather than the gist. Names, file names and numbers are what actually find a message; "the thing about the invoice" rarely does.

Files

Every attachment shared in a conversation collects in its files panel, so you can find a document by where it was discussed rather than by what it was called.

This is usually the faster route. People remember which conversation a file arrived in long after they have forgotten whether it was Proposal_v3_FINAL or Proposal_final_v3.

Forwarding

A message can be forwarded to another conversation, carrying its attachments. Useful for moving something into the room where it belongs, rather than describing it second-hand.

Voice messages

Where typing is slower than speaking, record a voice message. Recording and sending is free.

Asking for it to be transcribed is a language model listening, and that spends credits.
