Settings, Billing, Subscription. Only the owner and anyone with billing access can reach it - deliberately, since it is the surface that changes what you pay.
What The Plan Card Shows
- Deployment - managed, or self-hosted
- Seats - how many you have, and the price each
- Billing cycle - monthly or yearly
- Status - trial, active, or cancelling
- Renewal date
- Add-ons - anything enabled beyond the base plan
Seats
A seat is a person who can sign in. The card shows seats held against seats used, and how many remain.
You cannot reduce seats below your active member count. The platform refuses it and tells you how many are active - remove people first, then reduce. That ordering is deliberate: silently dropping someone's access because a number changed would be worse.
Keep in mind
Seats are the number people forget until an invite fails. If you are onboarding a group, check the remaining count before the first day rather than during it.
Monthly Or Yearly
Yearly is billed at a discount against the monthly rate. Switching cycle takes effect through the billing provider, which prorates the change rather than restarting the term.
Add-Ons
Enabled per workspace and shown on the card. They change what the platform can do rather than how many people can use it - so an add-on is a capability decision, a seat is a headcount one.
Trial
During a trial there is no charge and no card required. The controls still work: change seats, cycle and add-ons, and the totals update so you can see what it will cost before committing.
Adding a card during the trial does not charge you - billing begins when the trial ends. Cancelling before then costs nothing.
Who Can See This
Billing access is separate from being an admin. Someone can run the entire workspace and never see what it costs, which is usually the right arrangement.
Common Questions
We need another seat today. Increase the count; it takes effect immediately and the provider prorates.
What happens if we exceed our seats? You cannot - invites fail once seats are used up. That is the constraint working, not a fault.
Can we pause? There is no pause. Cancelling ends at the period end, and the workspace stays reachable until then. See Changing or Cancelling.
Where is the price list? The card shows your rate. Plan comparisons are a conversation with us rather than a self-serve page.
