Most of NearSync can be driven by typing. This is the whole vocabulary in one place, grouped by where you type it.
None of it is required. All of it is faster.
In WhatsApp
Message your workspace number and start with a hash. You do not need to open NearSync at all, which is the point: these are for when you are on a site visit, in a car, or between meetings.

Two commands ask for a PIN
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
#approved |
Approve an expense |
#paid |
Mark an invoice paid |
These two move money or commit a decision on someone else's behalf, so they require your personal Action PIN. Entering it opens an eight hour window, so you are not re-typing it all afternoon.
If you forget everything else, remember #help. It lists what you personally can run, which is not the same as this page: commands respect your permissions, so your colleague's list differs from yours.
Your organisation can also build its own commands. These are the ones that ship.
In Sync Chat
/task turns a message into a task, and reads plain English while it does it.
/task review the Albadwi contract tomorrow 3pm @Ausaff
That becomes a task titled "review the Albadwi contract", due tomorrow at 15:00, assigned to Ausaff. The date and the name are removed from the title rather than left in it.
It understands durations too: 30m, 2h, 1h30m, and 90 minutes all work.
You can also turn an existing message into a task from its actions, which drops it into the composer as a /task for you to adjust before sending.
In quick capture
The capture bar reads a whole sentence at once. Type what you mean and it pulls the pieces out.
call Sarah tomorrow at 3pm for 30 minutes p1 on teams
Dates and times. today, tonight, tomorrow, next week, next monday, mon, tue, fri, in 2 days, in 1 week, at 3pm, 9am to 1pm.
How long. for 30 minutes, 2h, 1h30m.
How urgent. p1, p2, p3, p4, meaning urgent through to low.
Where the meeting happens. on meet, on teams, on zoom. Leave it out for an internal huddle.
Chips you can add
| Token | What it does |
|---|---|
@team |
Everyone in your department joins |
@colleague |
That person joins as a collaborator |
@huddle |
Schedule it as a meeting |
@cockpit |
Raise it into the cockpit |
None of this costs credits. It is pattern matching, not a language model, which is why it is instant and never invents a date you did not ask for. Only a genuinely compound instruction, something like "book the review at 4, then the client call straight after", needs a model to untangle.

In a meeting
Pippin Scribe joins a call, transcribes it with speakers identified, and writes the summary and action items afterwards. It can join automatically for meetings on your calendar, or you can deploy it to a call yourself.
Recorded meetings are included in your plan rather than charged as credits.
What any of this costs
Typing is free. The pattern matching behind capture, /task and the command parser is ordinary code.
What costs credits is asking the assistant to write, read or listen: #ask, a drafted reply, a document summary. See AI Credits and What Uses Them for the detail.
