Getting Started

Your First Hour The ten minutes of setup every person does for themselves, in the order that gets you working fastest.

This is the personal half of setup. It applies to everyone, from the owner to someone who joined this morning, and none of it depends on the workspace being finished.

All of it is in your account settings - your avatar, top right, then Settings. See Your Account in the Settings section for the full detail of each screen.

1. Be Findable

Set your name and photo. You appear on assigned deals, in approvals, as a document signatory and in every chat. A row of grey initials makes a busy board harder to read than it needs to be.

Add your job title. It tells a colleague in another department whether you are the right person to ask.

Two minutes, and it improves everyone else's experience rather than your own - which is why it gets skipped and why it is first.

2. Get Your Times Right

Set your timezone. If you belong to a hub, its timezone is the default and is usually correct. Override it only if you genuinely work elsewhere.

Set your working hours and days. This is not cosmetic. It decides when you are offered for bookings, and it puts you on Do Not Disturb outside those hours.

Keep in mind

Working Hours and Quiet Hours are different. Working Hours decide when you can be booked and interrupted. Quiet Hours only mute sound. People set the second expecting the first.

3. Connect Your Mailbox

Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, under Connections. This is the step that changes your day most.

Once connected you can send email from a deal under your own address, meetings carry a Meet or Teams link automatically, your calendar availability is real, and you can attach files from Drive or OneDrive without downloading them first.

Write your email signature while you are there, so mail sent from the platform looks like mail from you.

Tip

You do not need admin access for this. It is your own mailbox, and it lives in your account settings precisely so nobody has to grant you anything.

4. Secure The Account

Set up multi-factor authentication. If your workspace requires it you have a seven-day grace period, and the failure mode is discovering it has expired on a Monday morning. An authenticator app or a passkey both satisfy it.

Register your WhatsApp number and Action PIN if your team acts on the platform over WhatsApp.

5. Tune The Noise

Set your notification preferences. Choose the channels you actually read. Some events are locked mandatory - anything about security or sign-in - and everything else is yours to decide.

Pick your theme. Four presets: Arctic Cloud and Classic Slate are light, Pro Slate and Midnight Pro are dark. Also your accent colour, sidebar mode and typeface.

Worth doing properly. You will look at this for hours a day, and the setting that helps most is usually the sound pack - silence, or something you can distinguish from your phone.

The Order Matters A Little

Name and photo first because they help everyone else. Mailbox third because it unlocks the most. MFA before the grace period ends. Theme last, because it is the one you will happily spend twenty minutes on if you do it first.

What You Cannot Change Yourself

Your designation, department, hub, reporting manager and employee code are read-only - they live in your HR record because payroll and compliance read them. To correct one, ask your HR admin.

Common Questions

I cannot see most of the product. Your role decides what you can reach. Ask whoever set up the workspace to check your role.

My timezone keeps reverting. You are seeing the hub default. Use Override to set your own.

Do I have to connect my mailbox? No, but sending from a deal record will not carry your address until you do.

Can I change my mind about the theme? Any time. It is yours, unless your workspace has enforced its brand colour, which only locks the accent.
