NearSync is on the App Store and Google Play, and chat is the centre of it. For most people the phone is where they read and the desktop is where they write at length.
What is there
Chat is a tab of its own: channels, direct messages, threads, mentions, pins, reactions, typing indicators and presence.
Calls are native. An incoming call rings like a phone call rather than a notification, with a full-screen answer.
Voice messages, attachments and photos work as you would expect.
Share to NearSync appears in your phone's share sheet, so a link or a document from another app can go straight into a conversation.
Search is the same command bar as the desktop.
Beyond chat the app carries Email, Calendar, Calls, Contacts, Companies, your Dashboard, Pins, your Plan for the day, clocking in and out, and approvals.
What is not
WhatsApp is desktop only. Customer conversations on WhatsApp are worked from the web app.
Pippin Scribe is desktop only. Meetings are recorded and reviewed from the web app, though the meeting itself is wherever it always was.
Both are deliberate for now rather than permanent.
Security on a phone
The app can be locked behind your device biometrics, and some actions ask for a PIN regardless.
Worth turning on. A phone is left on tables in a way a laptop is not.
