Why does my logo need a web address?
A signature is a small web page that travels inside your email. A picture cannot ride along from your computer, so the email holds a link to it and the reader's mail app fetches it. Put your logo on your company website, copy its address, and paste it in the logo box.
Why is the signature built from tables?
Mail apps, Outlook above all, ignore most modern page layout. Tables with styles written straight onto each piece are the one layout that looks the same in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, so that is what this tool makes.
Will it work on my phone?
Set the signature up in the mail app on your computer, and Gmail and Outlook carry it to your phone for you. The Apple Mail app on iPhone keeps its own signature, and pasted styling does not always survive there. Send yourself a test message to check.
Where do my details go?
Nothing you type is sent to NearSync. The signature is built in your browser and copied to your clipboard. If you tick the remember box, your company name, address, website and logo address are kept in this browser only, and you can untick it to clear them. Two things do load from the web: the picture preview loads each picture from the address you typed, and the small social icons load from nearsync.ai when your email is opened.
Do the social icons track my recipients?
No. The small icons are plain image files on nearsync.ai, and your recipients' mail apps load them when they open your email. There is no tracking and there are no cookies.
What is the Powered by NearSync line, and can I remove it?
It is a small grey line at the bottom of the signature that links back to this email signature generator, so a colleague who likes your signature can make one too. It is on by default and you can switch it off with the box in the form. The signature works the same either way.
Why can I not pick any colour?
The accent colour sits on a white email, so it has to be dark enough to read there. If a colour is too light, the tool tells you and uses a dark grey instead.
